The Indiana Pacers lost in a blowout to the Boston Celtics by a score of 135-108 on Wednesday. The Celtics simply dominated. After the game, Victor Oladipo told USA Today how disappointed he was in his own team.

“We sucked against Toronto. We sucked tonight. Period.”

The Celtics had seven players in double digits and had three who scored over 20 points on the night. Jayson Tatum had 20 points and four rebounds, while Marcus Morris had 22 points and eight rebounds. Jaylen Brown came out playing better than he has as of late, scoring 22 points while grabbing seven rebounds.

For the Pacers, only five players reached double-digits. Damontis Sabonis was the only player with over 20 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists in the game. Oladipo scored 17 with three rebounds but shot only 6-of-13 from the field.

Overall, the Pacers only shot 42.9 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three. They simply were not hitting their shots, as Boston's long defenders bothered them the entire game. And on the flip-side, the Celtics had six more assists, nine more rebounds, and shot nearly 60 percent from the field and 45 percent from deep.

The Pacers normally have one of the NBA's best defenses. It's very unusual for them to take such a beating like this, but even the best defenses have a misstep from time to time. Indiana is now 27-14 on the season and is in third place in the NBA's Eastern Conference. Their next game is against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
