The Indiana Pacers finally pulled the trigger on a trade for All-Star forward Paul George, dealing him to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for guard Victor Oladipo and forward Domantas Sabonis.

In wake of the move, Jeff Goodman of ESPN has revealed two massive offers that the Boston Celtics put on the table for George.

Celtics trade offer for Paul George back at trade deadline, per league source: Brooklyn pick (wound up being No. 1) and 3 other first-rounders.

Celtics offer on draft night for Paul George, per league source, was 3 first-round picks (not the Nets pick next year or the Lakers/Kings pick) and two starters (Crowder being one).

If this indeed the case, then this changes the entire narrative around Celtics general manager Danny Ainge being unwilling to offer a significant package for George. In fact, Ainge formed a more than feasible trade package for the 27-year-old.

This actually puts the Pacers and general manager Kevin Pritchard in a more negative light given the offers they passed up before taking a deal that didn't include superstar talent or any draft picks. It gives the sense that Indiana got to the point of taking any offer to get their hands clean of George.

The Thunder are now in the position to be one of the more intriguing teams in the Western Conference behind their dynamic duo of MVP Russell Westbrook and George.

Despite the Celtics missing out on George, Ainge will likely shift all his attention toward adding All-Star forward Gordon Hayward once free agency begins.
