After getting traded to the Indiana Pacers last summer, Domantas Sabonis was not expected to play a big role with his new team. However, he has continued to show a lot of improvement in his game, resulting in being part of head coach Nate McMillan’s rotation, and even one of their more important players on the roster.

With his ability to score in different ways, the 21-year-old Lithuanian international has been seeing 25.0 minutes per game, and has taken full advantage of it by showcasing his skill set on both ends of the floor, night in and night out. On Sunday, it was his talent of throwing down vicious slams that was on full display, as he posterized Daniel Theis in the fourth quarter of their game against the Boston Celtics inside TD Garden. His move left the Beantown faithful in awe, as he completed the highlight reel worthy play with a very powerful dunk.

Domantas Sabonis finished the game with 10 points and six rebounds, while Victor Oladipo top-scored for them with 26 points, to go along with three rebounds, four assists, and three steals to lift the Pacers to another road victory, 99-97.

More importantly, the win improved their record to 39-28 for the season, and placed more pressure on the shoulders of the Cleveland Cavaliers to also come out with a victory on the night in order to still be in third place in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics, on the other hand, received big games from Marcus Smart and Jayson Tatum, who combined for 39 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in a losing effort. Terry Rozier also played well, chipping in 16 points, six rebounds and two assists of his own, and filled in well for Kyrie Irving, who was only limited to 15 minutes of action.
