Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom Luka Doncic thought he was going to have an easy dunk attempt on Saturday night against the Indiana Pacers, but Myles Turner had other ideas.

Off a Wesley Matthews missed 3-pointer from the top of the key, Luka Doncic went upstairs and secured a nice offensive rebound over Pacers star Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner.

Doncic then tried to finish the play with a dunk, but Turner said not today.

Entering Saturday, Myles Turner was leading the NBA in total blocks (108) and blocks per game (2.8). Luka Doncic had to find out the hard way that Turner is not the guy you want to try and dunk on. The Mavs rookie learned his lesson, that's for sure.

Along with leading the NBA in blocks, Myles Turner is averaging 12.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 69.9 percent from the free-throw line. After signing a lucrative four-year, $80 million rookie contract extension with the Pacers before the season started, Turner is showing that he is more than worth that type of money.

The Pacers won their matchup with the Mavs, 111-99, bringing their record to 30-11. Turner scored 12 points and blocked three shots while Doncic only had eight markers after being ejected.
