Victor Oladipo, who has emerged as the new superstar guard of the Indiana Pacers, glided up in the air for a put-back slam.

In their game against the Los Angeles Lakers, after a nice block, the Pacers went off for the fastbreak. Forward Bojan Bogdanovic led the attack and decided to take it to the hole himself, with Oladipo not far in tow. Bogdanovic missed the tough lay-up but thankfully, Oladipo cleaned up his mess.

Watch the highlight below:

The display of athletic ability is reminiscent of the comic book character Black Panther whom Oladipo even channeled in the recent Slam Dunk contest by wearing the mask of the Marvel character in one of his slams. More importantly, the Pacers took care of business at home, winning the contest 110-100. Oladipo had a quiet night but still filled up the stat sheet with 20 points, four rebounds, and three steals.

Every game is a must-win for the Pacers if they want to remain in the running for the playoffs. Currently holding the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference, they have a chance to move up to third before the playoffs begin.

Oladipo is now the bona fide star of the Pacers. After being traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder, he has become a star almost overnight. For the season, he is posting career-high numbers of 23.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. He is poised to win the Most-Improved Player crown when the season ends.

Kevin Pritchard must be beaming with a smile right now for pulling off the then-criticized trade centered on former Pacers star Paul George.
