Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a frustrating day in Detroit. Despite basically doubling the Lions’ total yardage — 521 to 264 — they still came out 31-23 losers, in large part due to kicker Mason Crosby’s epic collapse.

Rodgers was seen looking visibly upset on the Packers' sideline following some of Crosby’s five missed kicks in the game. However, the Packers quarterback says he and the rest of the team still have faith in Crosby despite his disastrous outing.

“I think he's one of the greatest kickers of all time,” Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “I've always said he and Robbie Gould, what they do in the elements over the years is some of the finest kicking that I've seen in my time. Obviously he's disappointed. I don't think he expected this. We have a ton of faith in him. He's done it for a long time, made some big kicks for us over the years. They've got to clean the operation up: snap, hold and he's got to make them.”

Receiving Rodgers’ public back should be welcome news for Crosby. After a confidence-sapping performance like the one he just had, the last thing he needed was for his star QB to throw him under the bus in the media.

However, it’ll still be up to Crosby to repay Rodgers’ trust. Although Rodgers sounds understanding now, he still wants to win and he won’t be afraid to go after anyone who stands in the way of that goal.
