It's a big deal for a head coach to get the first win of his career. And even more when he earns the trust and respect of his veteran quarterback. It's what happened when quarterback Aaron Rodgers handed the game ball to head coach Matt LaFleur after Green Bay's 10-3 win over the Chicago Bears.

And he made sure to let the rookie head coach know something moving forward as well.

“It's a big deal winning your first NFL game as a head coach, and I'm happy for him,” Rodgers said per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Obviously, it's a lot of fun working with him. And I told him, ‘I'm going to be a lot better moving forward.'”

Rodgers should be hoping for an improvement to an offense he referred to as “a work in progress.” The team began the game with a miserable first quarter in which they came away with negative 12 yards. Not to mention the inconsistent play from the offensive line that only produced 47 rushing yards on 22 carries (2.1 yards per carry) and allowed five sacks to their quarterback.

“Really, the first quarter I think we had three drives, nine plays and negative yardage.”

Luckily enough, they found some production for themselves on the very next drive that gave them their only touchdown of the game. Aaron Rodgers is someone that's hoping to get more out of his offense before the season ends. He's one of the most elite quarterbacks in the league and someone that wants not only the best for his team, but now the best for his head coach.
