Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are entering the 2019 NFL season with big hopes of getting back into Super Bowl contention. After missing the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, it's time for the proud franchise to get things turned around. Matt LaFleur is hoping to do just that in his first season as the team's head coach.

Green Bay will need to figure some things out and will need a wide receiver or two to step up. Randall Cobb decided to leave town in free agency to sign with the Dallas Cowboys and the team didn't make any additions at the position.

While the Packers may have a question mark at the wide receiver position, Rodgers has made it clear that he likes what he's seen from second-year receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He also took the time to share his thoughts on Jake Kumerow, stating that he is “a big fan” of the young receiver.

Kumerow did not get much run last season, even though the team struggled most of the year. He ended up catching just eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers are expected to rise in 2019.

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Kumerow has the size, speed, and athleticism to be a very good NFL wide receiver. His chemistry with Rodgers appears to be on point as well. A breakout season could very well be on the horizon for him this year.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what ends up happening this season. Kumerow is going to get an opportunity and he will need to make the most of it.
