The Green Bay Packers will square off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 in a battle between two of the top teams in the NFC. Ahead of Sunday night's game, Aaron Rodgers understands how important it is to defeat the 49ers on the road, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

“We're all aware of where we're at in the seeding going into Week 12 and what's in front of us and the opportunities,” Rodgers said. “There's still a lot of football to be played and a lot can happen. I think you're just in denial if you don't think about the implications with a ‘Dub' or an ‘L' this week and how that affects stuff down the line. That's why I said, the way we look at it, we're going to have to win there one time the rest of the year. It would be nice to get it done this week.”

The Packers are 8-2 coming off of their bye week and are in second place in the NFC playoff picture. On the other hand, San Francisco sits at the No. 1 seed in the NFC with an impressive 9-1 record.

In the event that both of these teams face one another in the postseason, the 49ers would have home-field advantage. Therefore, the Packers would love to win on Sunday night in hopes they could play at Lambeau Field throughout the entire playoffs.

Along with the NFC seeding, the Packers could use every win they can get with the Minnesota Vikings only half a game behind them in the NFC North. The game on Sunday night will be a good litmus test to see where the Packers are as a team.
