Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers turned 38 years old on Thursday, and longtime teammate David Bakhtiari took to Twitter to send him a message.

Naturally, Bakhtiari had to roast Rodgers about his age and his nagging toe injury:

Again, Rodgers is 38 years old and hasn't hit 40 yet, but Bakhtiari needs to get these jokes off! As for the toe thing, the Packers star is playing through a broken toe that may or may not need surgery. Rodgers is going to try to let it heal on its own, but there's still a chance he could undergo a procedure early next week.

Of course, there was also some other drama involving this toe. Rodgers made a joke about having “COVID toe” that blew up, and this resulted in him showing his busted toe to reporters on a video call. The media and everybody on social media surely didn't expect to see a close-up of Rodgers' foot all over the place. A #bigtoeguy, indeed!

As for the Packers, they're currently on a bye week, which is giving Rodgers a great opportunity to celebrate that birthday and get some extra rest for that toe injury. Green Bay is in a great spot right now at 9-3, which is well clear of the second-place Minnesota Vikings in the division.
