The Green Bay Packers aim to get back in the win column after suffering a 13-10 Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. They'll have that opportunity in Week 4 when the team takes on the Dallas Cowboys in a “Sunday Night Football” matchup. Leading up to the contest, former NFL head coach Mike McCarthy shares what strategy he thinks Dallas will use to try and stop its former superstar edge rusher.

McCarthy, who is 61 years old, stated the obvious during a guest appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday after hyping up the contest between the Packers and Cowboys. He claims that Dallas will plan to double-team Parsons early and often in an attempt to slow him down.

“Oh, I think it will be a great atmosphere, it always is,” said McCarthy about the Sunday night game. “Especially when you have a team that travels like Green Bay. It will be electric, it will be Sunday Night Football, but I think once the ball gets kicked off, it's going to be about going back to the trenches. So obviously, [the Cowboys] know Micah very well. He'll get plenty of attention. I say it all the time, he's the most disruptive defensive player that I've worked with. So they'll be double-teaming him when he gets off the bus.”

This will be Micah Parsons' first time back in Dallas since being traded to the Packers right before the start of the 2025-26 season. It should be a rompus crowd, as the 26-year-old edge rusher will seemingly want to play well against his former team.

So far in Green Bay, Parsons looks as good as ever. Through three games played so far, Micah Parsons has accumulated five combined tackles (three solo), six quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks. He'll look to add to those numbers when he tries to sack his former teammate, Dak Prescott.
