The Green Bay Packers may have won against their bitter rivals in the Chicago Bears, but some believe that their Week 1 performance leaves a lot to be desired. However, wide receiver Davante Adams is optimistic about the team's chances moving forward.

The team did look like they lacked a bit of bite after their 10-3 win against the Chicago Bears. They started both the first and second half unable to find the end zone. However, Aaron Rodgers' touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham proved to be the difference-maker in the game.

Of course, it has to be considered that this is the Packers' first year with rookie head coach Matt LaFleur. He admitted that there will be growing pains, but there's no way to go but up for the team.

Via ESPN's Rob Demovsky:

“I guess I came out and — not jumped the gun — but I was a little optimistic, I guess you could say,” Adams said. “I don't even like to use optimistic because that sounds like there's a panic of some sort, but I was definitely excited for the offense, thought we were going to move the ball a little better than we did.

“But we've got plenty of time. I try not to think about that, like we've got time because that tends to make people drag their feet. I'm an urgent guy, I like to get better quick and I like to see results fast. We're going out there and we're handling things this week in practice to do it and make sure it looks how it needs to look.”

Adams only made four catches for 36 yards in the Packers' season-opening tilt. However, he is coming off a season where he caught 111 passes for 1,386 yards. Moreover, he made Chad Johnson cry with his route running.

Like the Packers, Adams' performance can go nowhere but upwards.
