Players around the NFL decided to express their concerns on the NFL's current guidelines for the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic. Among the players to share their disappointment, Davante Adams of the Green Bay Packers blasted the NFL for its lack of prioritizing player safety.

In the upcoming week, rookies for the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are set to report to training camps. Given that, players in the NFL are longing to get more clarity on the league's plan to play safely despite COVID-19 still being prevalent.

On Sunday, a slew of players in the NFL took to Twitter to call out the NFL. Each tweet featured the hashtag “#WeWantToPlay”, indicating that players have the desire to suit up in 2020. However, with players having families of their own, they want to ensure they aren't putting themselves at risk.

Besides Adams, both J.J. Watt and Patrick Mahomes are other players that shared their support for the players. Furthermore, Watt spoke about what the players do and do not know ahead of training camps.

The truth of the matter is the NFL had months to configure different options for multiple scenarios. Instead of listening to their advisers, the league is hoping to just close their eyes and have the coronavirus disappear.

Adams, along with the majority of the league, are on the same page in wanting to play football in 2020. Even though some people believe it's too much to ask, Adams and the other players want the NFL to prioritize the player's safety before they take the field.
