The Green Bay Packers have had a chaotic couple of weeks. They've been engulfed in controversy ever since Bleacher Report published Ty Dunne's expose of what went wrong during the Mike McCarthy era in Green Bay.

Aaron Rodgers wasn't portrayed too kindly in the article, and he took issue with it. Rodgers went on the radio to defend himself, and ended up in a war of words with former teammates.

The whole thing was an unwelcome distraction as new coach Matt LaFleur starts his offseason program. Right now, the team just wants things to go back for normal as they continue their draft prep.

Even though the Packers already have one of the league's best quarterbacks in Rodgers, that apparently isn't preventing them from digging around the top passers in this upcoming draft.

To that end, they'll host Missouri quarterback Drew Lock on a visit today, according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.

Robinson notes that it's a “legit visit” which would seem to indicate the interest is real. Lock has been heavily linked to the Broncos at number ten, and he's likely to be off the board by the time the Packers pick at 12.

It would be pretty shocking if the Packers used a first round pick on a quarterback, and even more shocking if they traded up to do so, which they might need to do if they really wanted Lock.

More than likely, the Packers are just doing their due diligence here. But it's still notable, as Rodgers has struggled with injuries the past couple of seasons. Rodgers is 35 now, but he should at least have a handful of good years left.

The Packers could really use an extra piece for the defense with the 12th pick, and it would be one of the most surprising picks in recent draft history if they ended up taking Lock or any other quarterback early.
