The Green Bay Packers currently reside in second place in the NFC Playoff race. With a 9-3 record, they are one of the best teams in football right now. However, it appears this franchise is getting healthy at the right time, as Jaire Alexander should be returning soon.

According to Air Meirov, the “Packers are designating All-Pro Jaire Alexander to return from IR.” Green Bay will have their elite cornerback returning soon, as they now have 21 days to place him into the active roster.

With the playoffs just around the corner, Alexander's return is perfect timing for the Packers. He'll be able to practice and play in a few games to get back into the groove just in time for the postseason. While many teams are struggling with injuries, Green Bay is becoming healthier.

Considering how tight of a race it is right now for playoff seeding, having Jaire Alexander return in the secondary is a massive advantage for the Packers. He's easily one of the best cornerbacks in the league, as he's capable of locking down nearly every receiver in the NFL.

To win the Super Bowl, there must be a balance between the offense and defense. Green Bay is known for having an elite offense with Aaron Rodgers under center. The defense hasn't been elite by any means this year, but they've gotten the job done. Having Alexander back in the lineup, this Packers team might just be the best team on paper.

We'll see how it plays out, but Packers fans should be celebrating this news. Make sure to catch Green Bay on Sunday Night Football as they take on their division rival the Chicago Bears.
