For the second time in the calendar year, Frank Reich has been fired. The Carolina Panthers let go of their head coach after only 11 games on Monday, with the team sitting at 1-10.

Usually, an organization wants to keep this news internal and make sure every player knows about it before announcing it to the public. However, that did not happen. Panthers players reportedly learned their HC was being canned through social media.

Via Mike Kaye:

“I've been told by multiple Panthers players that they found out about Frank Reich's firing through social media. A team meeting was called shortly thereafter.”

Not ideal by any means. Carolina is truly in shambles right now and the fact that Reich got fired so soon is a testament to their struggles. Bryce Young's rookie campaign has been very underwhelming and the Panthers have one of the worst offenses in the entire NFL. Defensively, they're not much better, either.

Special Teams Coordinator Chris Tabor is set to take over as the interim head coach for the time being. He's the fifth Panthers HC since David Tepper bought the team back in 2018. Needless to say, this franchise hasn't found any success in recent years.

Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans was their fourth in a row and it won't get any easier in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hopefully, Carolina will forget the Frank Reich era and find a bit of momentum. The Saints, Falcons, Packers, and Jaguars round out their schedule after visiting Tampa Bay.
