One could argue that Carolina Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen looked as impressive as any other quarterback on Sunday. The sophomore signal-caller threw for four scores, making pinpoint throws that showed why he was a five-star recruit coming out of high school.

With Cam Newton obviously still struggling with injuries and with the way Allen was able to pull out a victory against the Arizona Cardinals, many are questioning whether Carolina should sit Allen once Newton is healthy enough to return – including FOX Sports personality Colin Cowherd.

Throughout the first two games of the season, Newton was missing wide open throws to his receivers and still looked like his shoulder was not right. After taking so many hits since he was drafted in 2011, Newton's body is breaking down once again. After having shoulder surgery in the offseason, questions were already surrounding his health and that was before the foot injury he suffered in the preseason that had him leaving the stadium in a boot.

After injuring the same foot in Week 2, more specific information has come out on Newton's injury as it has been reported that he is dealing with a Lisfranc injury that could require surgery. Newton knows as well as anyone his injury-riddled season is causing people to talk about maybe moving on from the former MVP.

With Kyle Allen leading the team to their first victory, dazzling throughout, and Newton already ruled out for Week 4's matchup against the Houston Texans, it will give Allen another opportunity to maybe earn the position for the rest of the season.
