Over the last couple of weeks, Carolina Panthers star tight end Greg Olsen continues to make his way back from a fracture in his surgically-repaired foot.
Olsen continues to hedge toward a return over the next couple of weeks, taking another critical step by beginning to run and catch balls on the practice field, according to Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review.

This is another step forward for Olsen, who has voiced he wants to return this season while postponing surgery on his foot until next offseason. He appears to show no hindrance from the injury as he makes his way back to form. Olsen voiced last week that he was ahead of schedule in his recovery, putting him on the field in the near future following Carolina's Week 4 bye.
Olsen's involvement on the practice field has ramped up rumors that he'll return soon. This is a clear sign he's almost ready to get back into game action, but the Panthers must first see him go through a full practice to show that he isn't hindered by the foot injury.
Olsen has been a major part of their offensive game plan, so this is a very encouraging sign for the Panthers. When healthy, he has proven to be one of the league’s most productive tight ends in the passing game. Olsen is the first tight end in NFL history to notch more than 1,000 receiving yards in three consecutive seasons. He has recorded more than 60 catches five straight years as one of Cam Newton’s favorite targets.
