Evidently, money can't buy everything and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton found that out on a recent flight. On his recent flight over to France, Newton approached a man and tried to pay him $1,500 to switch seats with him for the flight.

The guy appears to decline Newton who then smiles at the man and goes back to his seat with the common people. The first question that many have is why is Newton having to sit with the common folk anyway with all the money he has. A flight from the United States to France is long and having extra leg room is a must, especially when you are as tall as Newton.

According to Andy Slater of IHeartRadio.com via CBS Sports, the reason that Newton was sitting in coach was that he missed his direct flight from Charlotte to France.

Newton had to fly to Dallas instead and then take a flight to France, and the only spots that were left on the plane were in coach.

A lot of the internet has been in an uproar because the guy turned down the $1,500 to move seats but who knows who the guy is. Maybe he has enough money and much like Newton; he wanted the extra leg room and comfort for the 10-hour flight to France.

The real moral of the story here is that Newton needs to make sure he doesn't miss his first flight in Charlotte, so he doesn't have to go through trying to pay someone to get extra leg room on the flight.
