The Carolina Panthers are making life tough on the Minnesota Vikings in their Week 12 matchup.

Early in the third quarter, the Panthers' defense was able to easily penetrate Kirk Cousins' protection, causing a sack that led to a scoop-and-score for Jeremy Chinn.

The fireworks were just beginning:

Chinn has been phenomenal in his efforts to help the Panthers secure a win in Week 12. On the very next play, Dalvin Cook fumbled and Chinn recovered the ball once again, racing in for his second touchdown of the day.

The Panthers are coming off a 20-0 blowout win against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. This ended a five-game losing streak for Carolina.

The Panthers are currently leading the Vikings 21-10 in the third quarter. Teddy Bridgewater is back in the lineup after missing the win over Detroit. Christian McCaffrey is still out for the Panthers, though, with Mike Davis getting the bulk of the work in the backfield.

Carolina is looking to move to 5-7 on the season while keeping its slim playoff chances alive.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is in danger of falling to 4-7 on the year. The Vikings started the season 1-5 before winning three games in a row to get to 4-5. However, an ugly loss to the scuffling Dallas Cowboys stopped the winning streak, and now Minnesota is in danger of losing to another sub-.500 team.

This would certainly be a disappointing result for a Vikings team that had high expectations coming into the season.
