The New England Patriots signed running back Lamar Miller to a one-year deal earlier this week, and on Friday, details for Miller's contract were revealed.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Miller will receive a $1.05 million base salary featuring $200,000 in guaranteed money with the Patriots. On top of that, Miller's pact contains $1.5 million in attainable incentives.

The incentives were not outlined.

Miller will join a Patriots backfield that already includes Sony Michel and James White. He likely won't be the No. 1 back, but he will still surely get his fair share of touches so long as he stays healthy.

The 29-year-old missed the entire 2019 campaign with the Houston Texans due to a torn ACL he suffered during the preseason.

Miller, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round (97th pick overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

The future Patriots rusher received only scarce playing time his rookie year, but the following season, Miller began to carve out a larger role, rushing for 709 yards and a couple of touchdowns while averaging four yards per carry.

Miller then became the Dolphins' primary rusher in 2014, breaking out with 1,099 yards and eight scores while logging a hefty 5.1 yards per attempt. In addition, he hauled in 38 receptions for 275 yards and a touchdown.

The Miami native spent the first four years of his NFL career in South Beach before signing with the Texans in March 2016.

The new Patriots running back rushed for 1,073 yards during his debut campaign in Houston, and in his last healthy season in 2018, he totaled 973 yards while reaching the end zone five times en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.
