With another new year comes another Super Bowl. This time around, it's the New England Patriots against the Los Angeles Rams.
In the last 18 years, the Patriots have gone 5-3 in their Super Bowl appearances. They've been in the championship game two-thirds of the time. The amount of success Tom Brady and Bellichek have had is utterly ridiculous.
For the Rams its a completely different story. They've only been to the Super Bowl three times since its birth. The last time they made it all the way they won it all. It's been 19 years since the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2000 under Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk.
It’s looking like Team BetOnline will be massive Rams fans Super Bowl Sunday from now as the action continues to pour on the Patriots. With nine days of action to come in, 81 percent of the early bettors are on the Patriots (-2.5).
The Rams had barely squeaked by the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game. It took a no call from the referees on a play with a clear pass interference that eventually led the Rams to win. They did so by a score of 24-21.
Sean McVay and co. have had a very successful year overall. Other than their hiccup in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, the Rams played like a Super Bowl team. They went 13-3 during the regular season. Their modernized offensive attack with Jared Goff under center took the entire league by storm.
For the Patriots, they took the Kansas City Chiefs into overtime but were able to top them 37-31. Patrick Mahomes played exceptionally well for the Chiefs, but his effort was not enough. The Patriots went 10-6 during the regular season and finished first in the AFC East Divison.
The two teams will face off Sunday, February 3rd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium the home of the Atlanta Falcons.
