The New England Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday as they lost to the Buffalo Bills, 47-17. This was not the same Patriots team that the league was used to seeing and it certainly was a disappointment that they went out this way.

Head coach of the Patriots, Bill Belichick, wasn't too happy with how his team performed on Saturday.

According to Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic,  Belichick had this to say following the loss,

“Bill Belichick said last night was the least competitive game the Patriots played all season:“Is that what we are or is that a bad night? We’ll see when we start playing next year I guess.”

It will be interesting to see what the Patriots do next season but that doesn't take away from anything that they were able to accomplish this year. Winning 10 games with a rookie quarterback is never an easy task.

New England showed us that they are back on the map after a down season a year ago. It is to be expected that this team is going to continue finding the success that they found this year. The Patriots are always a team who is going to be competitive and whenever Bill Belichick is your head coach, the team is usually going to find success.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, they played their worst game of the season last night. Buffalo did a great job of coming out and taking care of business while showing the world how good they actually are.
