New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is set to be an unrestricted free agent this March, and there seems to be a possibility that he could leave the only NFL franchise he has ever known.

As for what Brady will do?

No one knows for sure, and Detroit Lions wide receiver and Brady's former teammate Danny Amendola thinks that the 42-year-old will simply do whatever he wants.

“It’s going to go however he wants, I think,” Amendola said during an appearance on SportsCenter on Friday. “He’s the ultimate competitor. I think as his kids get older — Vivi, Jack and Benny — he wants to spend more time with his family. I think that’s going to weigh heavily on his decision and where he goes, and he can set that up the way he wants. But his competitive nature, his ability is still through the roof, and whatever team gets him — if he stays in New England or if he goes somewhere else — he’s going to bring a high level of football there.”

Amendola added that it would be difficult to see Brady “in any other jersey than a Patriots jersey.”

Indeed it would.

Amendola spent five seasons with the Patriots from 2013 through 2017, winning a couple of Super Bowls during his stay. He left New England for the Miami Dolphins in March 2018, but was cut by the Dolphins after one season. He then linked up with the Lions, where he caught 62 passes for 678 yards and a touchdown in 2019.

Of course, Brady has won six Super Bowl titles with the Pats.
