Josh Gordon spent the 2018 season with the New England Patriots before being suspended in the latter portion of the season. Despite the Patriots winning the Super Bowl and issuing Gordon a ring, his Super Bowl ring sold for $138,000 at an auction.

Gordon, who's been suspended quite a few times in his career, has missed out on millions of dollars in his career. Back in July, it was discovered that the veteran wideout was putting his Super Bowl ring with the Patriots up for auction. His reasoning for putting the ring up for auction is unknown.

Early in the 2018 season, New England acquired Gordon via trade from the Cleveland Browns. The former All-Pro wide receiver would play in 11 games for the Patriots prior to his suspension. In his 11 starts with New England, Gordon hauled in 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns.

While Gordon was sidelined with his suspension, the Patriots went on to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl in 2018. Even though he didn't play in the game, New England rewarded Gordon for his contributions during the regular season.

After a slow start with the Patriots in 2019, he was released by the team last October. The big-play wide receiver would account for 20 receptions for 287 yards and one touchdown. Following his release, he would join the Seattle Seahawks, catching just seven passes for 139 yards in his five games in Seattle.

Currently, Josh Gordon has filed for reinstatement for the NFL and is still awaiting a response from the league. While it remains to be seen if he gets another chance in the NFL, Gordon is going to be getting a bit richer from his Super Bowl ring selling at an auction.
