After a one-year hiatus, the New England Patriots are back in the playoffs as they prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wild Card Round this weekend. Meanwhile, the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be looking to run it back with Tom Brady leading the way.

Okay, get ready. Former Patriots star Julian Edelman is so confident in Bill Belichick and Tom Brady that he just put $100,000 on New England and Tampa meeting in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13,  per TMZ Sports.

You can't blame Edelman for taking a chance here. After all, he won three Super Bowls with the Patriots alongside the duo. If this matchup somehow came to fruition, he'd turn that $100,000 into over $500,000. However, it does feel unlikely. New England is the sixth seed in the AFC, while the Buccaneers are the second-ranked team in the NFC.

These two squads did already meet earlier this season. TB12 got the best of his former team, winning 19-17. Tampa Bay will be playing this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Patriots, meanwhile, ended the season with a 10-7 record, but the Bills will be an extremely tough task. Needless to say, Edelman will be sitting at home praying both teams come out victorious.
