The New England Patriots are heading into a critical offseason with Tom Brady set to hit the open free agency market. While some believe he could end up leaving, quite a few others don't see him playing anywhere else. Now, the Patriots may be looking to lure him back with another roster move.

According to soon-to-be free agent tight end Greg Olsen, the Patriots are still working to bring back retired tight end Rob Gronkowski. That would be a move that could convince Brady to come back for at least one more run in New England.

Here is a video of Olsen talking about the Patriots and Gronkowski that was shared via Patriots Wire.

Gronkowski retired after helping the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl in 2018. It was a sad moment in New England, as Gronk has been a longtime fan favorite. If the Patriots are unable to bring Gronkowski back, Olsen could very well end up signing with the team to fill that void.

Needless to say, this adds even more intrigue to the Patriots' offseason. Brady will be the first domino to fall, but if he does re-sign, then the focus would shift to Gronkowski. Pairing those two up for another season would bring a ton of excitement to the fans.

It will be interesting to see if Gronkowski would even consider un-retiring at this point in time. He has been enjoying his retirement and has talked about the pain he was feeling while playing. New England likely has their work cut out for them to bring him back.
