At soon-to-be 42 years old, despite a lack of retirement talk, Tom Brady's historic career with the New England Patriots will come to an end sooner rather than later.

The Hollywood Reporter‘s Mathew Belloni believes “perhaps the biggest sign” of that happening came today.  According to The Hollywood Reporter‘s Rebecca Sun, the quarterback has hired WME for his off-the-field endeavors.

Brady didn't hire WME for his contract negotiations, as that still goes to Yee & Dubin Sports.

While his marketing and management firm will still be Jonesworks, WME relates to off-the-field business building, and represents current athletes Lebron James, Stephen, Serena Williams, Kevin Durant, and now Brady. They also work with retired pros, including David Beckham, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Strahan.

WME is the longest-running talent agency in the United States, as they started in 1898. They performed a merger with Endeavor in 2009, then bought out the world's leader in sports, fashion, media, and events, IMG in 2014. As they say on their website:

We provide our clients and partners with global access and insights into every facet of entertainment and sports. Across our company, we represent top artists, creators and leaders in every category.

[Sports] Leading athletes, broadcasters, institutions and personalities responsible for keeping sports a point of engagement and conversation every day around the world.

WME clientele is unparalleled to nearly an agency. Whether it's 2Chainz, Kobe Bryant, Alton Brown, Ben Affleck, Guy Fieri, or Amy Poehler, WME represents them.

Tom Brady is just another addition of a superstar list of whose who.
