Deebo Samuel has officially requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers. He immediately becomes the best player currently on the trade market in what has already been a hectic offseason. The New England Patriots should be among many teams looking to acquire the superstar wide receiver.

Patriots offensive lineman Trent Brown, a former 49ers player (though not during Samuel's tenure), told Samuel to join New England. He stressed that the weather up north, which will greatly differ from that of the Bay Area, isn't that bad.

The Patriots join a host of other teams looking to add a superstar wide receiver for their franchise quarterback. The Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are among the teams that have a star quarterback in place. New England's many under center, Mac Jones, is no star yet but he will need a star wideout as he looks to establish himself as one.

Samuel is a one-of-a-kind star that would instantly, single-handedly elevate the Patriots' offense. Although he would need to be given a huge new contract to make the trade happen, he is worth every penny. Jones would have a dynamic new weapon as he and the Patriots look to get back to the playoffs and compete in a star-studded AFC.

A Mac Jones-to-Deebo Samuel connection would be a strong offensive foundation. New England has the pick capital — a selection in each of the first six rounds, including the 21st overall pick and extra picks in rounds five and six — to make a trade with San Francisco.
