Peacemaker Season 2 has added Mean Girls star Tim Meadows. DCU head James Gunn announced the big move.
In a post on his Instagram, Gunn welcomed Meadows to the DCU. He revealed that Meadows will play ARGUS agent Langston Fleury. The photo features Meadows, Gunn, and Steve Agee, who stars in the series.

This is a big addition to the Peacemaker Season 2 cast. John Cena leads the series in the title role with Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Jennifer Holland also starring in the HBO series.
Tim Meadows is best known for his time on Saturday Night Live (SNL). He would go on to star in sitcoms such as Schooled and The Goldbergs.
Early in his career, Meadows appeared in films such as Conehead and Wayne's World 2. In 2004, Meadows starred in Mean Girls. as Ron Duvall.
He continued his career with roles in Walk Hard, Jack and Jill, Grown Ups 2, Popstar, Hubie Halloween, and Dream Scenario. Meadows has also had recurring roles on Bob's Burgers and Digman.
In 2024, Meadows reprised his role in the new Mean Girls film. Tina Fey returned to write the reboot, which is based on the stage play version of the 2004 film.
What is Peacemaker Season 2?
Peacemaker Season 2 is a continuation of the 2022 series. After making his debut in the then-DCEU, John Cena got his own spin-off series for his character. He debuted in Gunn's The Suicide Squad.
In his spin-off series, Peacemaker is healing from his wounds from the events of The Suicide Squad. During that period, he joins the ARGUS' “Project Butterfly.” This sets him on a mission to get rid of the butterfly-like creatures invading Earth.
Plot details for the second season are being kept under wraps. However, it is known that it will take place within the DCU.
What is the DCU?
The DCU is the upcoming reboot of the former DCEU. The DCEU kicked off with Man of Steel in 2013 and concluded with 2023's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
James Gunn formerly directed the Guardians of the Galaxy series for the MCU. In between the second and third films, Gunn directed The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. He was later named the head of DC Studios along with Peter Safran to oversee the direction of the DCU.
While the DCU is essentially a reboot of the DCEU, there will be some crossover. Cena's Peacemaker is one of the biggest names that will be returning.
However, other heroes will be recast. David Corenswet has been cast as Superman and will star in Gunn's film about the hero.
The DCU will officially commence with the Gunn-created Creature Commandos animated series. Like Peacemaker, it is being made for Max. Frank Grillo, Maria Bakalova, Indira Varma, Zoë Chao, Alan Tudyk, Sean Gunn, Steve Agee, and David Harbour will star in the series.
Superman will kick things off on the big screen. Other planned films include Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, The Authority, The Brave and the Bold, and Swamp Thing.
