New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday made franchise history in the win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. It seems even his younger teammates could not help but marvel at his performance as All-Star teammate Brandon Ingram and guard Lonzo Ball heaped praise on his season-high effort.

Holiday joined DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans as the only players in franchise history to finish with 37 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in the 120-107 victory. Forward Brandon Ingram shared plenty of praise for his efforts on both ends of the floor, via Jim Eichenhofer of the team's official website:

“He was the hot hand. He definitely kept his rhythm, getting to the basket, making open shots, making shots off the dribble. And he was really, really good defensively.”

Point guard Lonzo Ball doubled down Ingram's comments and even acknowledged that Holiday had done much of the heavy lifting.

“I mean he carried us all night. No letdown from him today. You could see from start to finish he was definitely determined to get this win. He was big for us.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to their comments. Holiday was extremely productive after scoring his 37 points on 13-of-20 shooting. Meanwhile, his efforts in all facets of the game helped serve as a much-needed spark for this young Pelicans' team that is looking to get back on track.

Both players did a stelar job of feeding off of Holiday's energy. Although Ingram had a quiet game from the field with 15 points, he still made his presence felt with 12 rebounds, seven assists, and a steal. Meanwhile, Ball finished 18 points, eight assists, and two steals while providing a number of notable highlights.

Although the Pelicans have put an emphasis on showcasing their young talent, it is clear that they have no problem letting Holiday take over when necessary.
