New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson will play against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday in a must-win game for the Big Easy franchise.

Williamson sat out Friday's game versus the Washington Wizards to rest.

The Pelicans have to win every game from here on out to clinch the No. 8 seed or force a play-in game. So far, the team hasn't shown much promise at Disney World but things could possibly change moving forward since the club has been up and down all season.

Williamson is averaging 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.1 minutes of action down in Orlando, Florida. The new face of the Pelicans is shooting 58.3 percent from the field, though he doesn't look like he's in tip-top shape.

After the Spurs game, the Pelicans will wrap up the seeding games by taking on the Sacramento Kings and Orlando Magic. There's a lot of pressure on Williamson and New Orleans to make the postseason since it's assumed NBA higher-ups want Zion in the playoffs for money reasons. TV ratings were down this season before games were suspended in March due to COVID-19.

Overall on the season, Williamson is averaging 22.4 points, 6.2 boards and 2.1 assists in 23 starts. It's quite impossible to note how much he weighs since his weight seems to always be fluctuating. However, the common belief in league circles is that Zion Williamson has to get into better shape if he wants to have a long career in the NBA.
