Penn State's Beaver Stadium is ranked as one of the toughest stadiums to play in within EA's upcoming College Football 25. However, for some reason, the team's intimidating venue ranked just outside the top five toughest places to play. We believe there may be a few reasons why, and perhaps they'll make sense to you. Regardless, EA College Football 25's home field advantage system should make away games much more exciting.

Penn State Beaver Stadium Sixth Toughest Place To Play In College Football 25

Penn State's Beaver Stadium was ranked the sixth toughest place to play in EA College Football 25. Opened in 1969, PSU's Beaver Stadium is famous for its passionate crowd and exciting White Out games. The stadium can hold over 106,000 people and currently ranks as the fourth largest in the world. Furthermore, Penn State fans have dozens of traditions, chants, and other unique celebrations that make them among some of the best in College Football.

And in terms of home performances, the team's home record since 2013 has been 58-16. Furthermore, the team has produced some great NFL talent, showing that it's a great program for potential professionals in-the-making. Lastly, the stadium is home to many memorable moments. After all, we'll get to experience of those moments, like the Mo Bamba White Out game moment back from 2019.

In case you're curious about the factors that go into the rankings. they include:

  • Historical stats
  • Home winning percentage
  • Home game attendance
  • Active home winning streaks
  • Team prestige

Despite all of that, EA Sports has listed their stadium outside of the top 5 toughest places to play. This news may certainly upset Nittany Lions fans everywhere, but there might be a few reasons to help explain why they're listed at #6.

Firstly, despite Penn State's great home field atmosphere, the team, as a whole, hasn't earned as much as the teams ahead of them. In 60+ years since playing in Beaver Stadium, the Nittany Lions only have two national titles to their name. Georgia earned two titles back-to-back just two years ago. Furthermore, Penn State has only earned two division titles.

To be fair, Penn State does play in an incredibly deep and competitive division. The Big 10 hosts many fantastic teams like the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes. However, that shouldn't be an excuse for the Nittany Lions, who trail in both rivalries by 7 or more losses. It just seems like if they want to be ranked higher, they need to push past just beating the weaker teams. The Nittany Lions, simply put, must find ways to win big games.

All things considered, their rank actually feels a bit generous.

Overall, we understand the ranking for Penn State here. While the fans are passionate and the stadium is massive, there needs to be more from the team to help influence a better rank. However, should the team continue to play well, they'll remain in the top six. Lastly, EA Sports did mention that the list is subject to change. Therefore, the teams' current rankings may shift before or even after launch.
