Perry Jones III is the owner of another unfortunate story about someone failing to meet his mad potential.
Coming out of high school, Jones was considered to be a lottery pick and his stock didn’t take a major hit even after a quiet freshman year at Baylor. However, his decision to play one more year in college may have hurt his chances, as his game was exposed.
As a result, the 6’11” small forward ended up as the 28th selection by a Kevin Durant-led Oklahoma City Thunder team that wasn’t in the business of developing young prospects back then.
After years of mediocrity as an NBA player, Perry Jones has decided to take on the challenge of Europe, per international basketball news authority David Pick.

Last year saw Jones playing in the D-League wherein he averaged 14 points and 7.4 rebounds over 20 games.
Despite the slow start to his professional career, all is not lost on him as he’s just about to turn 25-years-old next month. The athletic tools and talent are still there, and he only needs to find the right mentality as it’s been the major knock on him since his high school days.
