The Philadelphia Eagles had a much more successful season than most people originally anticipated. The Birds managed to go 9-8 in the regular season and even make a playoff run, albeit short. This was much more than Philadelphia expected, since the 2021-2022 season was the first year of the Eagles' rebuild.

The team was led by first-year head coach Nick Sirianni and first-year starting quarterback Jalen Hurts. Heading into the 2022 NFL Offseason, questions regarding the future of the franchise continue to flood Philadelphia. With a lot of decisions and players' futures up in the air, here are my four boldest predictions for the Eagles this offseason.

Eagles Offseason Predictions

4. The Eagles find a new home for Gardner Minshew

Don't be surprised if Minshew Mania moves elsewhere this offseason. Gardner Minshew proved to be a promising quarterback during his Week 13 start and win over the New York Jets. Rumors of a quarterback controversy quickly came and went. I expect Minshew to find a starting quarterback role this offseason, just not in Philadelphia.

At the beginning of the Eagles offseason, Minshew alluded to a possible move on social media. While his former team in the Jacksonville Jaguars has their franchise quarterback locked down, there are plenty of other teams that are looking for their guy.

3. Experienced wide receiver comes to town

This offseason, the Eagles could greatly benefit from bringing both young and seasoned players into their 53-man roster. Recently, star rookie receiver DeVonta Smith said that he would benefit from the guidance and leadership of a veteran receiver.

This is coming from the guy that put up 916 yards and five touchdowns in his first year in the league. Why wouldn't the Eagles pick up a veteran to work some magic on offense and enhance the game of an already highly successful rookie?

2. The Eagles acquire a veteran quarterback

The Eagles decided to keep Jalen Hurts as their franchise quarterback his rookie year. He was on the right side of the quarterback controversy between him and Carson Wentz. However, recent talks within the city of Philadelphia make Hurts' future with the Eagles very dubitable.

For this reason, there's a good chance that the Eagles' front office caves and they pick up a new quarterback this offseason. However, don't expect them to find the new guy with any of their first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. If they do go this route, expect the Eagles to make bids on veterans like Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.

1. Philly uses their first-round draft picks wisely

The Eagles have three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. There are tons of ways that they could go with the early picks, and I expect them to make overall good choices with their selections.

There are many places that need some reinforcements for the Eagles heading into the 2022-2023 season. This includes, but is certainly not limited to wide receiver, offensive line, and potentially backup quarterback. They should be set at wide receiver if they acquire a veteran, meaning that the Eagles need to focus on the other two spots in the draft. Expect them to use all three first-round picks on bringing youth to the offensive line and finding a promising young backup quarterback.
