Derrick Rose of the Detroit Pistons is rated an 80 in NBA 2k20.

Via Twitter, 2k announced Rose's rating, as well as a screencap of his avatar:

As of this writing, the tweet has received a number of replies. Most of them do not disagree with Rose's 2k20 ratings. They believe that Rose, a former MVP, should be a little bit higher than an 80.

After all, Derrick Rose seemingly rejuvenated his career last year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In 51 games, he averaged 18 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, as well as a 37 percent clip from deep — a career-high.

He also scored a career-high 50 points in a win 128–125 win over the Utah Jazz. It was a game which got everyone emotional, especially Rose. He's been working hard to get back in shape after a spate of injuries which hampered the trajectory of his career. And that 50-point game was pretty much the epitome of all his hard work and perseverance.

While some disagreed with the rating, some were more optimistic about it. They say that Derrick Rose needs more time to improve. As such, we could see his rating rise as the season progresses. After all, NBA players have used their 2k ratings as motivation. So we can expect Rose to work even harder this year. Not just to boost his ratings, but to prove his critics wrong.
