The DJ who is being blamed for the COVID-19 infection of PSG star Lionel Messi has finally opened up about his current situation.

Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Sunday that Messi is one of the four players who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner attended a number of events during the holidays at his hometown Rosario, Argentina. One of the said parties was the one which was co-hosted by local disc jockey “DJ Fer Palacio.”

Shortly after PSG‘s confirmation, Messi's fans immediately lashed out on DJ Fer Palacio, who admitted that he is even receiving death threats as many are accusing him of being responsible for the PSG star's COVID-19 infection.

“I am a trend on Twitter because Messi tested positive for COVID-19,” the DJ said via ESPN. “They relate this to me saying that I infected him. They have even called me ‘murderer.' I have a lot of very bad private messages. Yesterday I got tested because I have to travel to Uruguay, and I do not have COVID-19.”

To back his statement, Palacio even presented a photo of his test showing negative result.

It is yet to be determined when will Messi be cleared and return to PSG. The club's manager Mauricio Pochettino still has no definitive answer to it and had only vaguely stated that the former Barcelona star will make his return once the test shows negative result.

PSG will be taking on Vannes for a French Cup match on Monday at the Stade de la Rabine stadium.
