The leaked current contract of Neymar with Paris Saint-Germain includes a unique clause stating he will be paid an extra bonus for just being “friendly.”

Neymar already set a world record when he completed his £198 million move to PSG from Barcelona in 2017.

However, the said transfer fee appears to be just a tip of the iceberg as the Brazilian’s leaked contract with PSG revealed that he’s earning around the region of $867,000 per month (approximately $10.4 million per year) for being “polite, punctual, friendly and available to the fans,” Spanish outlet El Mundo reported.

The report added that the said ethics bonus clause also entails that Neymar will be prohibited from publicly criticizing PSG’s practices and tactical approaches.

Indeed, PSG pulled off an out-of-this-world bonus scheme on Neymar and it speaks highly of how the Ligue 1 club values its star forward.

Even more interesting, rumors began swirling around the sport that PSG also went the extra mile in trying to fend off interest from Barcelona this summer.

Apparently, one PSG high-up “deposited €20 million” to Neymar’s father’s bank account at the heat of the 29-year-old’s transfer link-up with Barcelona.

Moreover, it is said that Barca president Joan Laporta green lighted another massive transfer swoop for Neymar prior to Lionel Messi’s move to PSG, having already made several attempts since 2017.

Laporta also recently confirmed that despite failing to bring in Neymar in recent windows, the transfer almost came to fruition in “March” after all parties involved showed strong interest in the deal.
