The recently retitled PUBG: Battlegrounds has had many collaborations over the years. This month, they're teaming up with none other than the massively popular K-pop group Blackpink.

The PUBG x Blackpink collaboration was shared on Twitter with a short announcement video. The group's iconic song, “How You Like That” plays in the background as we see the various Blackpink cosmetics in-game. A number of elements are added to the game as part of the collaboration. These include purchasable items, cosmetic map tweaks, and in-game event missions.

The Blackpink collaboration event will run between August 18 and September 7. Included in the collaboration are special in-game event missions that players can participate in. They can earn points that can be used to acquire exclusive Blackpink items. These include the Level 3 Blackpink themed helmet as well as further contraband coupons.

There are a total of thirty-five different cosmetics with each Blackpink member. Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rose will all have their own solo bundles. Inside the bundles, are themed hairstyles, nameplates, helmets, outfits, weapons, and more. The different Blackpink cosmetic items will be available for purchase in-game until the end of 2021.

This isn't the first time that the popular K-pop group collaborated with PUBG. In September of last year, Blackpink also collaborated for the game's mobile version PUBG: Mobile. It was a massive success so it's a no-brainer that the main game adapted the collaboration event.

With a steady player base and an animated show in the works, it seems as though PUBG: Battlegrounds is on a roll.

PUBG: Battlegrounds is available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Stadia.
