Rafael Nadal hasn't played on the ATP Tour since the summer, but that's about to change. Despite testing positive for COVID-19 recently, the Spaniard is ready to roll down under as he posted this photo ahead of the ATP 250 event, where he's the top-ranked player:

This is also the same venue in Melbourne as the Australian Open, so it definitely looks like Rafael Nadal will be suiting up for one of the greatest Majors around as well.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion tested positive for the virus after an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi, stating he was feeling some “unpleasant symptoms.” Nadal wasn't the only player who caught COVID-19 in the middle east, with Belinda Bencic, US Open winner Emma Raducanu, and Andriy Rublev all catching the virus as well.

Rafael Nadal is one of the greatest players to ever step on the court, but the Aussie Open hasn't been kind to him. In fact, he's captured just one title down under. With so many young players showing promise on the tour like Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, and others, it's going to be a tough task for Nadal to even make it to the later rounds in Melbourne.

But the fact that he's finally healthy after dealing with a chronic foot injury is a good sign. This ATP tournament is a clear chance for Rafael Nadal to win some hardware though, with most of the notable names simply waiting for the big shebang later this month.
