What started off as only whispers quickly began as reported rumors, as people began to publicly state that there was a possibility Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was being hurled under the bus by his own teammates.

According to the rumors, it was said that the Oakland offensive line, as retribution for Derek Carr not kneeling with teammates during the national anthem, were allowing defenders to get in the backfield to sack the gunslinger.

These rumors became such a talking point that, following a social media post in which Carr posted what would otherwise be considered random scripture, he was forced to address the entire debacle.

“It had nothing to do with what was said,” Carr said of his post. “I don't give false claims any due. If you see anything, you see I post a lot of Scriptures. And literally, you can ask anybody who has the YouVersion Bible App, that was the Scripture of the Day. And I just posted it, and everyone started, ‘Oh, shade, this and that.'

“I'm bigger than that, you know? I don't pay any mind to that kind of stuff because it deters. Making false claims about somebody before you know them, and about a group of guys, that has no business in our world. If we're trying to promote peace and love, I don't think that has any place.”

For what it is worth, teammates went to social media to call the claim of the mutiny a lie.

Maybe this now ends one of the weirder non-reported rumor stories to have ever graded the NFL.
