The Las Vegas Raiders made sure to explore all their options under center throughout the offseason. It seems the process has given quarterback Derek Carr quite the chip on his shoulder heading into the 2020 NFL season.

There had been plenty of speculation regarding Carr's uncertain future coming off an underwhelming 2019 campaign. He recently took to Twitter to show his appreciation for a fan and even sent a cryptic message to his doubters.

It is safe to say that all of the criticism Carr faced this offseason did not go unnoticed. As a result, his comments appear to indicate that he has decided to take a different approach this time around.

The Raiders have ushered in some significant changes in recent years with the arrival of head coach Jon Gruden. This led to speculation surrounding Gruden's desire to keep Carr around as his long-term starter. The team's efforts to seek out other alternatives before signing former Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota adds fuel to that fire.

Carr certainly endured his fair share of struggles under center last season. However, his modest production could be attributed to the lack of weapons on the outside. Although Las Vegas has since made a number of splashes in free agency, their biggest additions have come on the defensive side of the ball.

Las Vegas is now set to usher in a new era at Allegiant Stadium and the onus will fall on Carr to help kick things off in style. Fortunately, he seems to be confident about a potential resurgence next season.
