Since arriving to the Oakland Raiders, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Donald Penn has been a steady source of stability along the offensive line.

However, it appears that Penn may have found himself in a bit of a dilemma as TMZ Sports is reporting that he is being accused of domestic violence involving his wife that allegedly occurred over the weekend.

Oakland Raiders star lineman Donald Penn is a suspect in a domestic violence incident … after he allegedly slapped his wife's butt and then poured a drink on her head.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports … cops were called to Penn's L.A. area home Sunday evening, but when they arrived … Penn had already left the scene.

Cops were told Penn was at the house earlier and got handsy with his wife, at one point slapping her butt. Donald's wife took exception to the slap and a vocal argument ensued.

This situation could quickly put the 35-year-old in hot water given the zero tolerance that the NFL has adopted toward these type of cases over the last several years. It is the first time that Penn has been linked to anything of this nature in his NFL career.

That said, he and his wife have released a joint statement concerning the entire situation stating that there was no physical altercation or verbal dispute between them rather that both are going through a tough process of filing for divorce.

In any manner, there is likely much more to come on this front in the coming days to get to the bottom of this issue to see if there is validity to this situation. The NFL could likely conduct their own investigation into the matter in order to determine if there was any wrongdoing on Penn's behalf that should help take the correct measures with the situation ahead of next season.

Penn had signed a two-year, $21 million extension last offseason that runs through the 2019 season.
