The Las Vegas Raiders are currently in the midst of the franchise's first season in “Sin City” while things are not off to the start that everyone throughout the NFL landscape initially expected.

With the “coronavirus” pandemic still sweeping through the nation, the organization formerly known as the Oakland Raiders is presently attempting to figure out how to properly begin the team's offseason program this summer. It is now being reported that the Raiders could ultimately hold training camp in Nevada rather than in California in 2020.

“The team is seriously considering moving its training camp from Napa, California, to its new headquarters in Henderson,” writes Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “According to a person close to the team who was not authorized to speak on the record, training camp at the Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center is a viable option.”

The Raiders have now called Las Vegas, Oakland, and Los Angeles home, while the team's most recent relocation did not come without controversy and uneasiness. Off to a rocky start for reasons that are out of the team's control, the Raiders are trying to adapt to the current climate like every other team in the league.

“Prior to COVID-19 throwing everything out of whack, the Raiders had expressed a desire to hold their June minicamp in Henderson at their new facility, which includes three outdoor football fields and a 150,000-square-foot field house that will house one-and-a-half indoor fields,” Bonsignore adds.”

Unfortunately for head coach Jon Gruden and company, the Raiders still play in the AFC West division, a group that features the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, always dangerous Los Angeles Chargers and significantly improved Denver Broncos.
