Running back Jeremy Hill is officially a member of the Las Vegas Raiders after it has been rumored that he was close to inking a deal with the team.

While the Raiders haven't announced it yet, Hill confirmed the big news via Twitter.

The last time fans saw Jeremy Hill was in 2018 when he was donning the New England Patriots uniform. Unfortunately, his lone season was cut short after he suffered a torn ACL in Week 1.

Before going down, Hill rushed 25 yards on four attempts and one reception for six yards. Due to his injury, he was left unsigned in 2019.

The Raiders signing marks Hill's return to the NFL. To recall, prior to his signing with the Patriots, the 55th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft spent four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He tallied 29 touchdowns (which includes a league-leading 11 in 2015) and 2,873 yards with an averaged of 4.1 yards per carry.

Before Hill formally joins the Raiders, the 27-year-old would need to pass a physical and a COVID-19 test. If he passes, then he'll officially add more depth to an already-beefy Las Vegas offensive line.

Given this, Hill will likely be a reserve back. Incoming second-year man Josh Jacobs is currently the team's starter after his stellar rookie campaign when he rushed for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns. The Raiders also have Jalen Richard, rookie Lynn Bowden Jr., as well as Devontae Booker.

Time will only tell if the Hill comes back strong and healthy, but Raiders fans definitely have a lot to be happy about.
