The Los Angeles Rams made a big splash by signing Allen Robinson in free agency, but they then turned around and traded fellow wide receiver Robert Woods to the Tennessee Titans. Wood is currently rehabbing a torn ACL, just like Odell Beckham Jr., who's a candidate to return to the franchise.

While the Woods trade is understandable after the addition of Robinson, it still is bittersweet. Woods played a key role for the franchise for five seasons after starting his career with the Buffalo Bills. Woods and Cooper Kupp were teammates for all five of those seasons, and the Rams' superstar wideout took to social media with a special message for the departed Woods:

Kupp entered the NFL in 2017, which is when Woods got to the Rams after his four years in Buffalo. Woods took Kupp under his wing and taught him what it meant to be a professional wide receiver in the NFL.

Kupp immediately made waves as a rookie and continued to be productive over the years. Then, this past season with the addition of Matthew Stafford, Kupp put forth one of the best seasons for a wide receiver in NFL history, if not the best.

The 28-year-old caught 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in 17 games. Kupp then caught 33 passes for 478 yards and six touchdowns during the Rams' run to a Super Bowl title. He took home Super Bowl MVP honors for his performance against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was unfortunate that Woods couldn't be a part of the run thanks to that torn ACL, and now he's on a new team altogether. Still, it's clear he and Kupp developed a strong and everlasting bond in Los Angeles.
