The Los Angeles Rams suffered a tough defeat to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. But that doesn't mean that they will have to go home all lonely.

There are positives to their game against Seattle, and one of them includes Todd Gurley. The running back made an important milestone in his career when he managed two touchdowns against Seattle's defense.

It's an impressive feat for Gurley to be able to break the record of a player as legendary as Dickerson. What makes this all the more impressive is the fact that he only did this in only 15 carries.

“We wanted to get him going,” Rams coach Sean McVay told Pro Football Talk regarding Gurley’s performance. “I thought he did a good job. He got some tough, hard-earned yards against a good defensive front. They have done an excellent job through the first quarter of the season, stopping people. I thought he had some good runs. I thought we did a good job on some things and that opened up somethings in the passing game.”

However, the Rams still lost despite Gurley's efforts. This begets the fact that the NFC West isn't theirs for the taking anymore. They will be facing tough battles throughout the remainder of the season, and this bitter loss is the opening salvo.

However, Rams owner Stan Kroenke isn't discouraged by the Rams' display against Seattle and is confident of his team's chances against San Francisco.

They can definitely get the W against their Californian neighbors, but they have to play better football. And they have to give Gurley more touches of the football.
