The Texas Rangers have won four of their last five games following a sad-sack losing streak that has tested the fortitude and mettle of the Lone Star State's famous MLB franchise.
On Tuesday, the Texas Rangers shared a crucial injury update on promising young third baseman Josh Jung that is catching the eye of MLB fans across the country.
The injury update came amid news on pitcher Max Scherzer's status that included a concerning twist. Meanwhile, the Rangers' perfect trade deadline scenario was also revealed.
Jung's situation does not appear to be immediately concerning but it is something the Rangers are keeping a close eye on, with a prescription for Dr. Rest being shared by front office officials.
Rangers' Jung Gets Update

Jung was moved to the Rangers' 60-day disabled list back in April and team doctors have been monitoring the situation ever since.
“He's dealing with a little of — we'll call it tendon inflammation just above the surgical site,” Rangers GM Chris Young said. “It's really related to the buildup.
“We think it'll calm down with a little bit of time and rest.”
According to Rangers beat writer Kennedi Landry, who shared the update, the Rangers' brass does not seem overly concerned.
Bochy Provides Further Info On Jung Health Checkup
Rangers Manager Bruce Bochy added to the day's news on Jung saying that the third baseman is heading back to Texas. According to Bochy, Jung is getting checked out to “make sure everything's fine.”
“I'll have more information once that happens,” Bochy stated according to Kennedi Landry's additional report. “We think he's good and everything, we just felt like this was the best thing to get him checked out.”
Jung hit .266 with 23 home runs and 70 RBI last year but has had only 17 at-bats this season so far for Texas because of injuries.
