The Arlington/Dallas area of Texas is enjoying some of its best times as fans lately with the success of the professional franchises in the area. The Dallas Cowboys are 4-2, the Dallas Mavericks are expected NBA playoff contenders, the Dallas Stars reached the Western Conference Final last season and the Texas Rangers just won the AL pennant to reach the World Series on Monday night.

It's fun to see everyone in the city embrace the athletes and follow them along in some once-in-a-lifetime scenarios, especially when it comes to the Rangers' pennant run. Mavs star Luka Doncic has been spotted at some of the Rangers playoff games this month and was asked about his baseball fandom.

Doncic said that he's enjoyed following the Rangers' run and is definitely into the sport, one he was unfamiliar with before coming to play in the United States. He referred to Texas superstar Adolis Garcia as his favorite player and plans on attending Game 2 of the World Series which the Rangers will host on Saturday, according to Brad Townsend.

Doncic and the Mavericks open their season on Wednesday on the road before a home opener on Friday, the same night the Rangers will host Game 1 of the World Series. The only other game Doncic may be able to attend would be a potential Game 7 back in Arlington on Nov. 4.

The Rangers await their opponent for the World Series as the NLCS heads to a decisive seventh game, just as the ALCS did. Texas will try to win the first championship in franchise history.
