In the event that Bismack Biyombo does not re-sign with the Toronto Raptors, they have a contingency plan for a suitable replacement.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe reports that the Raptors have contacted the Philadelphia 76ers regarding a deal for big man Nerlens Noel. Although no specific players have been decided, it appears Terrence Ross and fillers would be in the Raptors' offer.

Biyombo expressed his desire to stay in Toronto, possibly with a hometown discount, but it may be a bit of a challenge to retain both him and guard DeMar DeRozan, who is also due for a big payday.

Philadelphia has too many big men to fit on the rotation together, so they will continue to look at offers to unload and improve the team in any way they feel is necessary.

Last season, Noel averaged  11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks while shooting 52.1 percent, so the Raptors would be receiving a solid replacement if the deal is executed.
